Who We’re Looking For
Pearl is looking for a Machine Learning Scientist with at least 5 years of industry experience. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the machine learning models that power Pearl's products. You will be working on both 2-D and 3-D medical imaging problems alongside a team of like-minded engineers in order to improve the performance of our machine learning pipeline and to prototype and deliver CV-driven solutions. This role requires proficiency with Python, Machine Learning, and Statistics. The ideal candidate is rigorously scientific and a savvy engineer.

  • Assess and implement methods from relevant literature utilizing open source Vision/Math tools such as Tensorflow and PyTorch
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FullStack, Product) to build products, share learnings, and vice versa
  • Build upon existing solutions to optimize for performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Write and maintain clean and modular code to deploy in production environment
  • Work to iteratively improve core model performance
  • Contribute to active research communities through conference/journal publications, meetups, and workshops

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • 5+ years experience in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Image Analysis
  • MS in Computer Vision, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics orPhysics, Machine Learning or a related technical field
  • Strong program fluency in Python or C++ and familiar with Linux
  • Experience applying Machine Learning to solve Computer Vision problems
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams including both technical and non-technical team members
  • Experience working in medical imaging
  • Experience with multimodal data
  • Experience with CPU/GPU optimization
  • Familiar with AWS ecosystem
  • Publications in top-tier journals and conferences
